Tenacity

Winston Churchill is credited as having once said, “The reason a bulldog’s nose was slanted backwards was so he could breathe while holding on.”

I’m not sure that makes me feel any more comfortable with the bulldog breed, but it surely brings to mind the word “Tenacity”.

te-na-cious adj   holding fast or tending to hold fast: persistent, stubborn. Syn. courageous

There’s a lot to be said for tenacity. Don’t give up on your dreams. Don’t give up on those goals that you’re pursuing that appear to be moving further away instead of closer to you. Hold fast, press in and press on. That’s the word for the day.
