My Wish For You
This is the season where I treasure time with family and take time to reflect on the truly important things in life. Being busy all the time can sometimes cause the important to be pushed aside for the sake of the urgent. They’re not usually the same thing.
This is also the time of year to take inventory. Yes, for those in businesses with cash assets, the end of the fiscal year is the time to count and assess; to literally take stock. I see this as the logical time to evaluate the intangible as well.
We are the only living being that has an imagination. Many animals exhibit amazing levels of intelligence, but man alone is motivated by vision and conceptual ideas rather than instinct. Each one of us has a unique call on our life; and purpose and a destiny.
Dream – n. a goal or purpose ardently desired: v. to conceive as possible
In a casual survey this year, I noted that unfulfilled dreams rank among the top 10 frustrations in people’s lives. The good news is that it’s possible to change that.
It’s never too late.
This is still the land of opportunity.
Many years ago, I read Earl Nightengale’s words, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. “ This has been a foundational truth since the beginning of time.
We are on the cusp of a New Year. In my life, it’s a new season; a new day. Fresh strategies are coming forth; a new way. I’m excited. I believe that in the next year I will begin to see some long-held dreams and desires come to fruition. My Christmas wish for you is a sense of positive expectancy.
