Jungle Marketing

I’m excited about a training module I’m currently doing called “Jungle Marketing”. You may have heard of “Guerilla Marketing” and wonder what the term “Jungle Marketing” means.

It’s simple. The marketplace looks and feels and acts like a jungle. It’s a bit wild, holds the promise of adventure and yet  one has to live with the uncertainty of not being totally in control.

Now, combine that with the term “Marketing”, which I believe  Wikipedia has defined most accurately since it’s in understandable language and not technical jargon. “Marketing is  an integrated process through which companies create value for customers and build strong  cusotmer relationships in order to capture value from customers in return. Marketing is used to identify the customer, to keep the customer and to satisfy the customer.”

So jungle marketing is about how to effectively connect with more people as customers, every day, for a sustainable period. Which means everyone wins and is productive. That’s where I want to camp; the land of abundance.
