Fast Forward

Have you ever thought about writing your own obituary? Does that seem a bit morbid to you?

I’ve attended tons of workshops over the years, so when I remember an exercise from over 20 years ago, it’s significant. During a vision workshop, we were asked to write our obituary.  I projected that I lived a healthy and vibrant life to the age of 100;  not a stretch given my longevity gene. Then it gets colorful…

How do you see yourself in 5 years? How about in 10 or 20?  I endeavor to live present to future rather than present to past and the future can be a powerful magnet if we learn how to position ourselves through our attitudes and expectations. Alignment with our future assignment is a powerful pull. Experts say that attitude is a huge determinant in health, longevity and productivity.

I’m guessing I’m not the only one that reads the obituaries. So what do you want to be spoken of you when it’s all said and done?  When you begin with the end in mind, you are pulled toward the vision. That’s anything but morbid – it’s electrifying!
